Fire & Smoke Modelling

Traditional fire modelling and safety involved extensive “cold smoke” tests that could only be done once the complete environment was built and the fire suppression system selected and installed. Aside from the cost, this proved suboptimal due to cold smoke not behaving the same way as hot smoke.

Using CFD, this process can be brought forward to the design stage, optimizing the smoke evacuation and fire suppression systems, reducing the overall cost and achieving a more accurate representation of the fire before it happens.
